There are several reasons why tooth extraction may be required including; advanced to terminal gum disease, severe decay, fractured roots, failed root canals etc.

Extraction of a tooth can cause many problems, including, a reduced ability to chew, bone loss, jaw joint problems and drifting teeth. Any of these issues will impact your dental health. If an extraction is necessary, we will discuss treatment options to limit the negative impact of any necessary extraction.

All our extractions are performed using the most atraumatic approaches. The key to a successful extraction is to limit trauma to the gum, bone and adjacent teeth. We prefer to combine all extractions with site preservation (informational video) and or immediate implant placement to limit or eliminate the deleterious effects of tooth loss.
