This is a deeper, more adjustable form of sedation. Drugs are administered by our Board-certified anesthesiologist (a physician with advanced training in anesthesia and the management of medical emergencies). The drugs are administered intravenously. The anesthesiologist continuously monitors the patients heart rate, cardiogram, blood pressure and blood oxygen level. Most patients have little or no recollection of their procedure.
